Travel Art Kit and Sketchbook tour
Marco Island Sunset
I haven’t used the sunsets as inspo yet, but stay tuned for more!
We just got back from our spring break trip to Marco Island, Florida. It was an amazing week! Perfect weather, time with our family, and TONS of inspiration. I went on this trip with an intention to bring my sketchbook with me many places and to be aware of my surroundings. And let me tell you when I began to really look at what was around me, I was INSPIRED!! There was so much to take in! I am in the process of exploring expanding my art practice in new ways. And this trip was a perfect place to put this to practice. I wanted to begin to paint on location. I wanted to start sketching more. I wanted to use my surroundings as inspiration. But I wanted it to be loose, a little abstract. It was a great experience. And I have so much more to explore through pictures I took. I made a video to share with you what I brought along in my art kit, and I share with you my sketchbook so far. If you would like to see what I brought and made take a watch here. I have also made a YouTube channel to share all my videos. If you would like to follow along with me there click here.
One of the cool trees that I used in my sketchbook.
I loved the pattern in the little off -shoot growing out of the side.
If you want to see the video where I show the sketch of it, go here.
Beach inspiration!!
I love these sailboats. I will be using them in some future work.
Thanks for being here! Thanks for your support! I hope you are inspired to go out and see what’s around you for inspiration. You can follow my YouTube Channel for future videos.
